Their cocktails are poured to perfection, making for a great start to the meal. For my entrée, I had the bacon-wrapped filet mignon with a baked potato and asparagus--cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The elegant barn-style atmosphere adds to the charm, and the service is truly exceptional. To top it all off, they surprised us with complimentary cheesecake for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch. We are making this a yearly tradition. “ Angus Barn - 5 stars on all counts. Front of the house and back of the house is a well oiled machine. They have everything down to a science and they roll out the orders with every steak expertly seasoned and cooked perfectly to temp. The house cheese and crackers while not only delicious were also such a nice change of pace over the usual loaf of bread or rolls. Wait staff were super professional and extremely helpful with everything. Out of all the steakhouses I've endured in recent years, Angus Barn certainly deserves a spot in the top 2 in the nation on all facets. Casual atmosphere although there is a required dress code to enter The Angus Barn. Practice common sense, it's an upscale restaurant not a strip club so plan your attire accordingly or prepare to take your business elsewhere. ”

“ Everything was 5 star. Ambience was gorgeous, I absolutely loved where we sat and it was super romantic. Our waitress was first class and she constantly made sure we were doing good. She also gave us a cake for Valentine's Day! First, the cheese and crackers are great, the best cheese and crackers, but it's not bread. The crab cakes are amazing but felt a little too pricey. Mac and cheese was excellent melts in your mouth. The ceasers sold was great and had me excited for the main course. I got the ribeye medium rare with mashed potatoes and garlic butter, it was amazing. One of the best cuts of meat I have had. I also got the blackberry cobbler for dessert and it was a bit tart which personally I didn't LOVE but the texture was amazing and I always loved howling cow ice cream ”

“ I came here yesterday for an early Valentine's Day celebration and was at awe at not typical this steakhouse is. It's a very rustic feel with more lighting than a usual steakhouse which I thought was interesting. When you first enter, there's a waiting room with a bar which is unlike anything I've seen. Then we were sat on the second floor which was nice and quiet and beautiful. To start, I got the Coastal Cowboy drink which was very good and some complimentary cheese and crackers and bread and butter which were all good but not the biggest fan of the cheese. For apps, we got the crab cakes and mac n cheese which were both mind-blowingly amazing. I then got the lobster tail with mashed potato and caesar salad. The caesar salad was very good but too big of a portion and the mashed potato was the perfect texture but needed more flavor. The lobster tail was super good and filling. For dessert, I got the chocolate explosion which is a hot fudge sundae with the famous chocolate chess pie and they complimented each other super well. Our waitress was the sweetest person and was super nice and helpful throughout the whole dinner. ”

“ Highly recommend this steakhouse! Reservations definitely needed. Started with the complimentary cheese, crackers, and olive platter. They were good. I split the 22 oz bone-in Ribeye (medium rare) which comes with your choice of soup/salad and potato side. We split the Caesar, ordered a stuffed baked potato and an extra side of mac and cheese. It was PLENTY of food. The steak was cooked perfectly. For dessert we ordered their legendary Chocolate chess pie in Sundae form, served with a scoop of chocolate and salted caramel ice-creams, hot fudge, whipped cream, and cherry. Huge sharing portion. Service was great. Definitely will return. ”

“ We went to the Angus Barn with our friends who are celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary. They have gone to the Angus Barn every year since their 1st anniversary! I have always heard about Angus Barn's burger, famously made with one whole pound of meat! It was seriously the best burger I have ever had! My husband ordered the steak sandwich with grilled onions. Both of us could only eat half of our meal! I forgot to take a photo of the complimentary relish dish of olives, pickles, celery and peppers and the tray of pub cheese and crackers. “ Our most favorite Christmas tradition! We've been making Christmas reservations for a few years now-and it's the best. The decorations are incredible to say the least and the service is amazing. We ordered our usual steaks and sides and beverages. We also ordered a crème brûlée instead of the chess pie and it's the best I've ever had! We took our kiddo and the kids meal was also fantastic (but we wouldn't expect anything less!) To address the previous review about kids dining at Angus Barn. Here's the deal (coming from a parent): if your kid is melting down or struggles to dine out, it's 100% NOT the appropriate environment. Y'all need a ChickfilA. Angus Barn isn't cheap and it would be super irritating to have the ambiance ruined by a screaming kid. Luckily our kid loves dining out and decor, otherwise we would've gotten a babysitter. ”

“ Stuffed! First time mistakes were made. The cheese and crackers with wine/beer are extremely good. It does fill you up though. Once you order and get your soup/salad and main entree, you can forget about dessert. That's a treat all by itself. Pace yourself and enjoy your meal. “ One of my besties lives here in Raleigh, so when my significant other wanted to come to North Carolina for his birthday, this girl was on board! I packed my bags and called her to ask what were all the places we needed to visit while here! The Angus Barn was one! First, it's hard to get a reservation so how we pulled it off with only two weeks notice, who knows, but we got lucky! Driving into The Angus Barn was like driving into an enchanted castle. During the winter months they turn this barn into the North Pole (of course what I assume the North Pole would look like). Christmas decor is unmatched, this ambiance took my breath away. We drove up and intended to get valet service only to find a front parking. As we parked, the valet guy informed us we took a valet spot, we apologized and he said we could just stay. Super NICE! So sorry for the mishap! The entire restaurant is decorated so it was easy to check in and walk around in amazement at all the beautiful decor. Within a few minutes we were seated. Jeff was our server and he was amazing. Jeff was as sweet as a Georgia peach. He really knows how to make people feel at home. Now let's get into it! Appetizers: Complementary Cheese/Crackers - Yum!
